Skunks live all over the place and if your dogs is curious, they may end up with a face full of stink.

You don’t need to run out and buy every can of tomato juice anymore. There is another solution made from ingredients you may already have on hand. All you will need is hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, dawn dishsoap, and vinegar.

First, keep your dog outside! You don’t want them to carry the smell inside.

Check their eyes. If they’re red and irritated immediately flush them with cool water.

Don’t wet your dog with water first. Instead rub on dawn dish soap all over their body or on the affected areas.

Then, pour hydrogen peroxide over the soap.

Pack on baking soda over the peroxide and soaped areas and then spray vinegar over the baking soda (this will foam up).

Try to let soak for 15 minutes.

Rinse off after 15 minutes and repeat if necessary.

As always, consult your veterinarian with any concerns.
